Daily Comforts

Best Water Bottle ever: Hydra Flask. It never sweats and is cold all day!

We all have those days: we would rather sleep until 20 min before we leave for class, than put a full face of makeup on. I have those days daily when I am getting ready for school. My uniform consists of Gap yoga pants, comfort tees from a favorite southern brand (love these from Volunteer Traditions), Nikes, and a big Vera Bradley tote. I go for cute comfort, cause lets face it, I am not about to wear my best fashion ensemble to school, only to be uncomfortable as I walk/run between classes. My current Vera tote, the Tic Tac Tote, fits absolutely everything and then some(over packing is my middle name). So just to show everyone out there that I am normal, and do go to school in yogis and no makeup on most occasions, and that it ok because college students get a free-pass for school attire. Our best accessories are triple-shot lattes and our ipads.

Retail Therapy

  {My impending 21st already has me thinking}

Being that my family is in the epitome of a transition (we had our move upped by 45 days), a little retail therapy was definitely in order. So, in true Donnelly Girl fashion, my mom, sister and I trudged our way to the nearest TJ Maxx for some comfort. We began to make our way through the home section (the best section, in my opinion) because we needed to start shopping for some little things for our future apartment. We in turn found some great finds, including down throw pillows and microwave-safe bowls with covers. Of course, we got a little weepy as we looked at pillows and shower curtains knowing that our move-in was coming up within the next month. Lets just say, being Maxxinista really came in handy when looking for unique and comforting accents for our future home.

Bright Statements

Well ladies and gents, I have a confession to make. I am addicted to neon colors and statement necklaces. Whenever I want to feel confident, stylish and pretty I throw on my best statement piece, or a splash of neon color, and I feel as though I could conquer any challenge. This sweatshirt I got from the gap outlet is no exception; it looks fab and effortless with dark denim, or dressed down with workout leggings and a topknot. Along with the sweatshirt, this necklace (recently purchased from BaubleBar) is the easiest and most neutral of my necklaces. Its slight ombre and cool structure makes it eye-popping and so so cute. So now that spring is FINALLY here, toss on your bright colors and cork wedges and hit to sun with a smile on that gorgeous face!

Movin on Up

{Packing in Style}

Well Folks, its that time: Moveout Time. In the next two weeks, movers will be packing, wrapping and transporting my life's belongings to storage where they will await the move to their permanent home in my sisters and I's new apartment. I would be lying if I said it has been a cakewalk, in true honesty I have been a total basket case about leaving my family, and starting a new chapter with my sister. I have been faced with a mixture of excitement and total terror as this is the first time I will be leaving home permanently. I am beyond blessed to have been able to grow at home, because 2 years ago I was far from being ready to leave home. Now, I am able to finally use the 400 sets of cups I bought from TJ  Maxx every time I visited it (obviously, its my mothers party habits that have taught me well).
After months of trolling Craigslist, we finally found the perfect place for us to live and it is the perfect location between school and my work. These next two weeks are going to be full of reminiscing, tears, laughter and relief as my mom, my sister and I say goodbye to a lifestyle and bid hello to a new beginning.

PS: I will be trying to shoot out blogs as much as I can, so bear with me! I will post pics of the apartment once we are all settled :)

Plain White Tees

I am not one to go to a baseball game, I am much more of a football kinda girl, but when I imagine myself hanging out in the stands, eating hot dogs and fries from a cone, and listening to the die-hards scream at the refs, I imagine myself in a timeless ensemble: White T, Cuffed Jeans, and Sperrys. And lets face it, we all have those days where our hair is just anything by cooperative, and a fedora solves that problem immediately. I have a tendency to wear the same things over and over again, while neglecting other gorgeous ladies that sit in my closet, but I will always have a White T and jeans outfit close to heart because its simple, effortless and stylish; which is the most perfect combination.

And of course, you gotta take a #selfie

#SprangBrake

Last week, myself and three amazing girlfriends (one is my rockin sister), trekked our way from Oahu, with our Vera Bradley in tow, all the way to the Big Island (yes, 45 min flights are long for me). We spent the week at my family home in Waimea, relaxing and doing all the things tourists do: road tripped to Hilo, gaped at amazing Rainbow Falls, hiked the volcano sites, beached/tanned, and explored the beauty of Parker Ranch. We made about 1543673 U-turns, listened to "Let it Go" every other song on the Ipod, and ate buckets of Ice Cream. It was a week that reminded me that the idea of having bunches of friends cant compare to that of a small group of girlfriends that accepts your inability to follow Google Maps and my love for mainstream music. Just wanted to share a bit from my week of fun, and promise another outfit post will follow!
